About me
I am a passionate social-documentary photographer with a love of storytelling and portraiture, and also African material culture imagery. I enjoy meeting people in their homes and communities, preferable speaking their own language.
I am an also agronomist by profession and have lived, worked and studied across urban and rural locations in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, France and Sweden and I studied some months in Chile. I have lived 20 years in East Africa. I speak Swahili, French, English, Swedish and have some very basic knowledge in Spanish.
I have worked with international NGO’s, women’s groups, corporate clients and community-based organisations to document projects, spaces, objects and events. My approach to photography is rapport-based, subject-centred and reflects principles of informed consent.
I am available for projects of all kinds and keen to understand the key interests of clients. Please see portfolio and projects on this site and contact me below for any further information.
